This funding will help Charlotte Master Chorale continue its efforts to enrich the  greater Charlotte community through high quality, innovative, engaging choral music performances. The 2018/19 season represents the "inaugural" season for the recently re-branded Charlotte Master Chorale—launched in 1951 as the Oratorio Singers of Charlotte and more recently known as the Charlotte Symphony Chorus. Thus far, the season has successfully featured:

  • an evening of serene beauty and lush vocal colors from the Chamber Singers with songs from the British Isles,
  • a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the completion of Brahms’ masterwork, Ein deutsches Requiem, and
  • historically-informed performances of a timeless holiday tradition, Handel’s Messiah, with the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra and nationally renowned soloists.

Charlotte Master Chorale's next performance is:

"Of Time and Space"
