Charlotte Master Chorale Meets $10K Challenge
On December 19, the Charlotte Master Chorale Board of Directors pledged $10,000 to match each and every gift made before December 31, 2018. Through generous support received from donors and friends, the Charlotte Master Chorale is pleased to announced that the organization exceeded its goal and raised $12,855.
This funding will help Charlotte Master Chorale continue its efforts to enrich the greater Charlotte community through high quality, innovative, engaging choral music performances. The 2018/19 season represents the "inaugural" season for the recently re-branded Charlotte Master Chorale—launched in 1951 as the Oratorio Singers of Charlotte and more recently known as the Charlotte Symphony Chorus. Thus far, the season has successfully featured:
- an evening of serene beauty and lush vocal colors from the Chamber Singers with songs from the British Isles,
- a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the completion of Brahms’ masterwork, Ein deutsches Requiem, and
- historically-informed performances of a timeless holiday tradition, Handel’s Messiah, with the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra and nationally renowned soloists.
Charlotte Master Chorale's next performance is:
